Can anyone help date this or give it a location or origin? Wood type is also unknown. It's 38 inches across, 34 inches high, 31 inches deep. All original hardware and original wheels still attached. We've had it for years and are trying to decide what to do with it.
Looks like the bottim to a highboy chest. These were made in many different woods, but somevofvthe most popluar, white pine or tiger maple
What era should I be looking in do you think?
I think that you should look between 1860s-1900s. This seems to be a later piece.
Looks to be oak.
The back looks to have had a mirror attached at one point.
Based on the style/ hardware and construction, I would put this later-- probably first quarter of 20th century.
