    I know very little about this piece accept that it came from my wife's families farm house/plantation that was built in the 1800's and had its own slave quarters.

    I would really like to know the vintage of this.

      AMAZING use of woods (veneers)!

      I agree with huntress and put it in the 2nd quarter, 20th century. One of the nicest pieces I have seen from a period that saw a lot of mundane furniture.

      Thank you for posting this. We have the exact same dresser, and I just saw the same dresser but with the complete bedroom set (bed frame, a long dresser, mirror) at a local antique store.

      Someone replaced some of our drawer pulls and I was wondering what the originals were like. I think you have the original combo. (The knobs on the pieces in the antique store have also been changed.)

      There is a metal tag on the left of the middle thin drawer saying it is made in PA. (I can't remember where.)

      Those two side openings (doors) seem unusual. I don't see them on many pieces. We get so many compliments on this piece!
