    I wish I had a "before" shot of this trunk but, needles to say, it was a pretty ordinary black trunk that I wanted to redesign for use on my website. It's recovered in black canvas duck with leather binding. I added the large, reproduction solid brass draw bolts and found a solid brass lock that I managed to fit a key to as well. Veg-tanned leather belts with matching hand-stitched leather handles added some contrast to the black and then I went a little nuts and added that red quilted fabric to the inner top lid. Very large and HEAVY trunk, this one is!

      Another wonderful trunk that was brought back from the ordinary. I would strongly encourage everyone to visit randallbarbera.com and have a look at the amazing trunks on his site. Truly an artist. You unknowingly, have been one of the inspirations for why I got involved( many years ago )in refinishing them the way that I do.
      So thank you for making me think" outside the box" in the way that they are redone.
