My son found this about 10yrs ago in an old barn we inherited. It has W.Scagel on the blade and an arrow on the end. Can anyone tell me how old this is and what if anything its worth. thanks

Thank you Dave. Yes, i've had it authenticated and it is a legit William Scagel. Now i'm trying to find out what it's worth. The collector that looked at it offered me $2000 but another wanted me to consign it with them and thought I could get $4500...Thats a big difference so I will keep looking and hopefully someone will know a fair value.
Update on the knife: We contacted Bernard Levine and he ALOS has confirmed that the knife is infact in real William Scagel from the 1920's and is issuing a Certificate of Authenticity. So glad I didn't take the original offer on the knife..turns out its worth far more than I thought!
wow, what an awesome find
