Cleo (Liz) has her eye on this one and so did I. It has a bit of an Egyptian look to it but is almost certainly Native American or Mexican. This lazied around the showcase at Salvation for a week and even survived half price day so I finally grabbed it. Nice detail with little turquoise and coral cabochons. There's no marks inside but it's got that clear sterling silver coin ring to it and they most likely just wore away over the years. Cleaned up nicely with the jewelers cloth too. -Mike-
Thanks Val :) ..... I think so too. We had gone out west for a family vacation in 1970 and I saw a lot of Native American and Mexican jewelry. We stopped at this bottomless gorge close to the Grand Canyon. There was a women with her jewelry spread out on a blanket sitting on the ground selling to tourists. I bought a turquoise and silver ring but it's been lost for ages. I have plenty to take it's place now...lol. Still wish I could find it though.
Beautiful ring, Mike. :)
I, too, have Navajo jewelry from the 70s, earrings I may post here someday. :)
