I decided to go a little beyond my usual hunting grounds today and headed to southern Ohio. Found a few different Goodwills and another Salvation Army Thrift Store. Too far and too much traffic. I think I'll stick closer to home. Curiosity satisfied. This 14 1/2" vase came from a Goodwill in Brunswick. I really like these large decorative pieces. Decorated in Hong Kong with a spurious Kangxi Nian Zhi mark probably from the 60's #332 on Gotheborg's site. It now joins the other ten or so I already have. -Mike-
Delightful painting on it. I think you find fab stuff close to home, but I guess the drought you've had drove you awandering!
Thanks Karen... you're right I do. There's no place like home...no place like home. Oh darn it doesn't work without the ruby slippers...lol :)
By the way I think the aventurine vase I posted yesterday might be Italian by V. Nason & Co.from their "Avventurina" line circa 1950's.
