Ben Marks’ informative article entitled “Someday, Robots May Save or Destroy Us All -- For Now, They're Still Kinda Dumb” is the inspiration for this post. Shown here is the first model (1983) Tokima DigiRobo watch with its original band and bright yellow display case. (The instruction manual is not shown in this pic.)
Seven colors were made in 1983 and supposedly this gold tone version was only offered in Japan. Anyhow, it only tells time and the robot itself just stands there -- so, it is “kinda dumb”.
UPDATE ... It's happening! Will we not survive? The Tokima DigiRobot found my GoBot watch and it doesn't look good. Kerry was right ... the little guy might be dangerous.
Kinda cool too!!!
This one is not ready to take over the world. :)
Stands there until ... ????
once the "Cube" is activated by the Decepticons....this little fellow might be dangerous. Neat watch and packaging to say the least....Little newer than I'm accustom to, but having a variant only offered in one market, it always a plus.
Kerry ... Yep ... Cute little guy ... For now ... Lol ..
very very cool!!
Thanks!

It's the end of the world as we know it, women & children in the lifeboats first!
This might save us all if you act quickly.

Be safe my friend, don't let it see the fear in your eyes!
@eye4beauty, I'm trying!
It's futile...
