    Hi
    Everyone.
This is my last find of the day(23 August) another WGP Vase, this time i found that one at the Salvation Army, just before i drive back home after my working day, i decide to do a last visit, I not regret my decision,i see this Cylinder Vase sit on top shelf, was made in red clay, i really love the Native American design and the motif on it, they applied just the right amount of Black glaze, gave an amazing LOOK, inside the vase have an heavy coat of Green&Brown glaze, they just so Genius, i am amaze every time i found a new WGP are beautiful they are.

This vase stand 11 inch tall, 4.50 inch wide, on a 3.50 inch base.
Marked, shape 618- Height 31 with stamp"Spara Schamotte Keramik"

    Thanks for Viewing.
    Alan

    ---------------------------------------SPARA-----------------------------------------

    1960s- Unknown
Started in the late 1960s, little is known about the factory. Many pieces have a middle eastern aspect to their design. A senior designer in the 1970s was Halidun Kutlu (Turkish), who also worked for Karlsruhe Majolika.
A light coloured clay was mainly used (some early items used red/orange clay). Many items are either moulded with the Spara name on the base or stamped on the base. Where the name is stamped and the form numbers added by hand these were studio items. Not al bases were marked.
