Big original old shipping box with steel lid hinges and latch still in place. Has a Chief Oshkosh trademark logo and a wood burned brand stamping logo OB Co. Purchased at a local farm n barn auction. Never found one from Oshkosh Brewing this old and this complete before. Made for 24 small probably 12 oz bottles.
Sounds like a great find, but all of us don't live on Uncle Sambo's Plantation. Can you fill us/me in on when they were in business & how old you think this is. Don't worry. We get people from all over the world who think we know all about their local history.
Off hand I don't know anymore than you do about it. Probably pre WWI. I know in later years Chief Oshkosh was a brand name they used for 1 of their beers.
Well, from where I live, I know nothing! I know Oshkosh from the "Fly-ins". Interesting. Keep us filled in.
