This Ingersoll "Dollar Watch" was advertised as a "Nurse's Watch".
The watch is a small, 1.25 inches in diameter, ivory enameled case, a "0" size movement, with patent dates of July 2, 1918 & Nov. 14, 1922.
Attached to the stationary bow of the watch, is a ivory enameled button with a 10 inch retractable chain and a pin so it can be attached to the nurse's uniform. The watch can easily be pulled down to read the red seconds hand as it records accurately each pulse beat.
The retractable button pin was made by Ketcham & McDougall, East Orange, N.J.
The little 3.28" x 1.62" x 0.86" box (which I refer to as a "coffin box"), has a patent date of Nov. 1918 embossed on the bottom.

    Thanks for looking,
    Dave

Dave, just for reference, have you ever seen this style in Mickey Mouse? The retractable chain fob had a celluiod Mickey and the dial was the same as the 34-37 wristwatch.

Kerry, I would think a Mickey would have the seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position.
    10. pw-collector pw-collector, 9 years ago
Kerry, I have another watch like this (same ivory enamel case), that does not have the seconds dial. I guess if there is a Mickey dial this small, it could be adapted to it.

Dave, the subdial is right variant, give me a few days, I'll post one for you to see, just not home right now, if you know....well I know you know
