    This box is a stumper for me, I have no idea what it may have been used for, any ideas would be appreciated. It is delicately carved walnut wood on all 4 sides and measures 5 1/4" L x 3 1/2" W x 4" T

      Kind of looks like something for mail - to be fitted in a big, thick front door. I dunno....lol! I like it though!

      I just found out today that it is a vintage cigarette and match dispenser from the 40's. Thanks for the suggestions!
