lovedecant…
(237 items)
This is a German decanter with drum shaped pink body and a ivory coloured handle and stopper. It has a flower and flash motif cut in either side. Probably pre-WWII.
This was a crazy piece I couldn't resist because it was so cheap. And as my wife said at the time, "Now what are going to do with it.".
I have never seen anything like it before. What to do with it? Sit and admire of course!
Karen,it's quite popular shape among German glass from the first half of 20c.

This one is really nice with the colour and ivory details.

Another one with glasses
Thanks Ivonne for the links. I'm always learning :)
Pleasure:-)
Ivonne, thank you so much, the only other decanter that I have that is vaguely this shape is definitely French, so I was obviously making too bit a resumption. And no matter what my wife thought, I thought it was too cool and crazy to walk by for £4.99.
Hi lovedecanters,I didn't mean your decanter isn't French. They were also produced in Germany and Czechoslovakia.I should add the word "also"to be more precise.
No matter where it's from,it's a good find .
This is too cool!!... Everything works about this one..the colours look wonderful together and that shape and handle are perfect...loooove!! it... :-)
