This is a solid-built piece of hard, rigid plastic. Not cardboard and not foam board. Pieces are riveted together, and will not deteriorate over time. Expect a sturdy barge with years of playability that will withstand the test of time.

Thanks for the comment, Manikin. It means a lot when someone takes the time to say "it's good." I'm making these barges one at a time, and they are kind of special to me.
That is quite amazing and impressive. I can barely carve a small replacement piece for a model. Again quite amazing.
fortapache: Thanks for the comment! That makes me feel great about my work! So, you're a model builder? We've designed a special template that has tabs on the barge pieces to be assembled. It's a little more work to create the model kit, and it's still cut out by hand. The beautiful part is, we're beating the shipping hassles associated with a 4 foot barge. You can get an airbrushed paint job on the flat pieces, or just get it white. That's our dream, to make the most affordable (and extremely sturdy) barges.
