Meticulously constructed custom model Harley Davidson Bike. Picked it up by luck at a swap meet. I just never saw one like it so I thought I'd share it. Every metal piece you see is aluminum or alloy except rubber tires from Italy. Not sure exact material but it's wound up nice, in all sizes and the colored sections (frame, fenders and seat are poly tubing in good ol" red white and blue. It's actually an interesting and easy to appreciate detail size. Even the rims are wound, six coils around for each tire. The size of wire looks to be about the gauge of solder wire.
Well.. here it is.. This baby is about 2 feet long, 1 foot high at the handlebars and 6 1/2 inches at top of rear fender. The motor is about 8" inches wide so.. no.. my friends, it doesn't run and you cant ride it. The Harley Davidson lettering is only 4 inches long and about a 1/2 inch high so my hats off to the builder. The handlebars and front tire goes side to side but that's about it besides sitting pretty. I estimate it weighs 3.5 to 4 pounds. I only think it's one of a kind because I personally have not seen one. Have you?
Truly a labor of love, this is unique!
Have seen some with the springs - I believe a smaller one was sold on Etsy but now all that remains is a photo or two. Ad appears to have ended:

Okay, found out that a few of these type of models are made by supervised inmates with acquired rewards/status in prison. The few that have been seen are usually 12 inches long at the most. This particular model is large (Two feet long, one foot high) and extremely detailed with a lot of extras and unique designs. The wheels and cables are incredibly detailed and the "Harley Davidson" logo sets this one apart from two others that surfaced. I do agree that they are a labor of love and a lot of "time" and effort was put into them. Thank you for the kind comments.
