Ah, this is a beautiful mixture of Art Deco cocktail items from my collection, circa 1941. The rare ice bucket is made by Revere, Rome NY, and it's one of my absolutely favorite Machine Age designs with its bakelite base, finial, and handles. The design is attributed to William Archibald Welden. Honestly, the ice bucket reminds me of a Teletubby head! (And who uses ice buckets these days? Mainly a thing of the past.) This item appeared in the "Gifts 1941 Revere Copper And Brass Incorporated" catalog. In that catalog, it was called the "Hot Or Cold Server," #144A, and it originally sold for $5.00. The catalog says it can be used to keep hot food hot and cold foods cold, and it also mentioned that the lower half can be used as an ice bucket. The one I have also has a cobalt glass liner in the bottom of it, but the original Revere catalog description doesn't mention anything about it having a glass insert.
The amazing blue mirror and chrome cocktail tray is a custom made piece. When I bought it from the dealer, the tag on it said it was made in 1940 by a husband for his wife--what a great gift. The chrome cocktail cups with circular fins on the bases and cobalt glass inserts are also very rare, and the design is often attributed to Walter Von Nessen.
