Hi there - a piece of unknown Amber Glass here... kinda reminds me of Aseda? Bottom rim does have a edge. Not sure as there are a few more companies that make this style too. It is:
~ About 10.5 inches long
~ About 8 inches wide
~ About 3.5 inches tall at the tallest end
Base shows some wear, but polished with a concave bottom. Still a pretty looking bowl as a piece of Art. I still like it....
Thanks for any info - as Always
;-)
It looks Bohemian to me.To compare : http://allegro.pl/patera-bohemia-zielona-piekna-gratis-prezent-i5669810792.html
Super link there Ivonne -- Yeah they do look the same. I wonder where they got their attribution from (?) but they look like the same.
You were "Quick on the fingers" for that link Ivonne -- Thanks !!
Perhaps I was too quick,Rose.
Here's another link saying : scandinavian http://retroartglass.com/product/swedish-modern-glass-bergdala-form-oblong-bowl/
Possibly just other copies of a famous bowl by Per Lutken for Holmegaard. The 1962 "Selandia" range is well documented.

I've always thought these were Holmegaard as well. I have one that's kind of a royal blue, two that are an medium aqua blue, and one that's a champagne pink. I really like your amber version. I've been picking these up in the price range of 5 to 10 $'s. Usually around 6 on average I'd say. I also could add that from piece to piece I notice they are slightly different in shape and form. Seems no 2 are the same. Heard them refered to as a Mad Men prop once. I've never seen the show though. Also they don't glow a crazy mustard yellow under black light like my Holmegaard "fried egg" if that amounts to anything.....Enjoy :)
I think they are copies too. None are signed.
Great form, love the swoop of this bowl. :)
Collectomaniac, signing means you are taking responsibility. I don't think, then as now, companies were comfortable with possibly being sued.

I love the asymmetrical design Rosie! In my opinion, that's what makes the piece special! Glad to see you posting again! -Your Bud
