This craft was a recent visitor to Annual Aviation Day at The Wyoming Valley Airport (KWBW).
It's interior seems the same as when it saw action, and the camo paint is really well done, but oddly, the text on its body are written in German. I didn't get a chance to talk with the crew about this, maybe next time…..
I applied the 1974 effects on the image in the center…..
Thank you, fortapache…..
A guy I worked with built a model of a plane for his dad's birthday because he knew his dad flew one in NAM. And when he gave it to him his dad was silent and he thought he hated it, but his dad said how did you do this , he said I bought it and put it together. He said this is my plane it has the same call numbers on the tail fin. How's that for coincidence.
Wild coincidence Trey!
The UH-1 was also used by the West German military, so that may explain the text.
Yes, that is quite a coincidence, Trey and Chrisnp! And thank you, C, for the info on the German language on the craft!
Thank you v-50, Sean, walksoftly and Trey for you loves on these images….
