Hi...Need help with ID on this Vintage/Antique Chest/writing Table/Storage..Has detachable legs and arm supports..Arm supports fit into the Key holes and Angled legs fit into the angled slots on sides of chest.Has inside flaps to protect storage items also..Hinge on top is sorta tight. Has Unreadable Letters on it also Can see Pr-------- --------(&) Ko..All other letters are very hard to read and see..Will take hopefully better pics tomm in daylight and see if they will show up better...Measures like 20 x 12 w & 8 deep outside measurement. Will measure legs tomm also & update this info..Really would like to ID this old chest...We were told it could have been a Writing Table for a Captain on a large ship..We have no idea as to its age or being..Did not clean it up at all. Don't want to mess it up ..Vintage look is good..

..Hi..Took more pics but cannot read the letters..Could I put something on or in them to make them stand out with out hurting the chest? Baby Powder or Eye shadow? What would Y'all suggest? Leg measurement is 12.5 on both sides of 1 leg..it is angled...I will take off these pics and put new ones on..Is there a way to add more pics to this 1 item?

Hold a piece of paper against the lettering and rub the paper with the side of a pencil point - see if that produces anything.
Or, you can try a pale eye shadow or chalk. Efesgirl has a good idea

Hi..Did the rubbing and can not make out all the letters...looks like Prohour B or 3 -------- Ko....Here are recent pics showing the rub...In the middle the wording is completely in the dark....Thank you again to all for your help with this Mystery Box/chest....
