Egg cups?

I bought these a few months ago at the goodwill. I thought they were something like a shot glass, but the cashier thought they were egg cups.
I was struck by the polishing and chamfering work, and just liked them at 3/pr. I am noticing now that they are identical in shape as though they are maybe mold made. The colours are slightly off from one another too. There's a little dot on the inside of each maybe indicating where the colour was pulled off when made. Any info appreciated. Maybe this base was used in other known items?
