The latest addition to my collection is a small iridescent Rindskopf vase in a milky beige opaque glass with teal and white pulled feathering that also contains a splash of red. It is quite small, 4-5/8" tall, and I have pictured it with a taller 'sister' vase. :) The deep teal blue-green colors used in the feathering are favorites of mine, and are often seen in Rindskopf vases. It has a cut and polished rim, and no pontil mark.
Colours are beautiful!Perfectly match milky beige and feathering nicely brings out the shape.
stunning!!!
Ivonne, thanks so much!
Thank you, Sean!
I just sold an interesting variation of this Rindskopf pulled feather decor. The base glass was paper thin, almost transparent with a beautiful emerald green applied iridescence, and the same style pulled feather decor. It was a beauty, and the buyer got quite a bargain if I do say so myself :)
Brian, I'd love to see a picture of it - it sounds lovely!
As all of your vases, just beautiful !!!
they look so good together
I really like this decor. Michelle, is your major focus Rindskopf? Would love to see how you have them grouped.
Thanks so much Tomasz and Marty for your kind comments. :)
Ah, beautiful, and they complement each other so well!
Hi Mac, yes, definitely a major area of interest for me. I love their work; there is something about the shapes they used and their use of color that I find really pleasing. Even my husband enjoys them, and is getting pretty good at telling a Rindskopf apart from other makers. ;)
Thank you, Peggy; I am glad you like them! I thought the shapes were fun together - tall and elegant and short and squat, but in the same beautiful colors. :)
...and Mac, I am hoping to do a few group photos soon. It is kind of a pain for me, since they are all puttied down. I live only about a mile from the San Andrea Fault, and earthquakes are a big reality! I will do it soon, though! :)
Typo - San Andreas! ;)
Such lovely feathering Michelle! A wonderful addition to your large Rindskopf collection!
Rick, thanks so much! :)
