While on a trip to visit Jasper & Banff Canada I could not resist doing a little sign hunting as we traveled. I had already committed myself to drag our trailer to pick up a big Phillips sign pole in Montana & really wanted to bring back some Canadian "memories". This cool ESSO sign is just one of the memories we will add to the Lakeside Storage Museum. I just love the hunt and now the work begins in the display.

Paid too much but couldn't come home without some Canadian memories. This was a paint over sign & still needs some cleaning up, but sure has nice color. It is huge, as you can see. I think about 5'x 8' & will look great on a pole in the Lakeside Museum.

I'm embarrassed to confess that I paid $1000 U.S. For it. It came with the mounting ring but that was top retail as far as I'm concerned. We drove so far with a trailer I just couldnt return without a sign from Canada & this was all we found as the collectors were all gone to the Hershey swap meet, if I remember correctly? It came from a collector in Ft McCloud named "Frenchy" who has a lot of nice stuff and is a very nice guy.
