The difficulties of translating technical glass terms on Google translate!
    2. Ivonne Ivonne, 9 years ago
Yes,Google translator sometimes causes problems. In the text the word "cisek" means beakers,"Film" is simply layer.I have difficulties with "proryvanou" although I know what it means: not seamless but with breaks.
"On demand "should be translated custom-made.
Instead of "glass manufacturing" , glass industry would be better phrase.

"proryvanou [?] film" Does this refer to galvanoplastic decors, whose first known use in Bohemia was Gebrüder Feix, who was a patent-holder for this technique??

That's a great book to have, Ian - my copy is in German (which is significantly easier for me to translate).
