This cabinet card shows the largest collection of dolls that I have ever seen in 19th century photography.
One very spoiled child or an early collector-- about 50 dolls total!
The image is by Liden of Prineville, Oregon and dates from the 1890s.
Use of images without permission is prohibited.

I suppose you would have said if you knew whose they were. I wonder if this could have possibly been some of Hugette Clarks collection. Apparently she had thousands of dolls and doll houses you would not have believed. She was born in the very early 1900's and lived to be I think it was 104 years old. There is an article about her here on CW. Sorry I didn't try to find the link to it, maybe in a bit. Great photo.
Oh...I just re-read what you wrote so these couldn't have been Ms Clarks at all. She wasn't old enough. It's still a great read tho.
