Hi there: I have no idea what to call this shape as not a dome, or egg shaped, or dump.....the best I can call it is *pinched*. So correct me if that is the wrong term. (Might it be Murano) ?? Clear glass with swirls of blue and black colors. Seems to be made very well.

~ Concave bottom and polished bottom
~ Bottom does show Good Wear
    ~ pinched / oblong Shape
    ~ 5 inches long x 1.75 inch wide x 2.5 inches tall
    ~ Weighs about 1.72 pounds

Just curious to find out what it is. Have not found anything to give me a for sure ID. Still good to look at, and to use for holding papers. It is quite nice. The more I look at it -- the more I like it.

Any ideas on the makers / age / or any info at all? I have no clue and not finding much on the internet using the term * Pinched PW *

Thanks for looking. Any ideas welcome.

Ha ha I can't figure it out either, but it is pretty. What is the hole for and how deep does that hole go. In other words, is it a bud vase?
    2. antiquerose antiquerose, 9 years ago
Lol....No hole in it. Solid piece of Glass. Sides are kinds pinched in looking from the top down. Bottom shows wear and polished concave. All solid glass. Not a vase at all. Was hard to get a nice pic of it

@ EFESGIRL -- Thanks for that link. Sure looks like it, doesn't it? The only thing I see a bit different is the base. The one in the link has a bit of a rim on the bottom concave, where mine does not (??) At least it looks like that to me. Do you still think it is a match? Swirls and shape is so right....but the base is a tiny bit different. What do you think? Wait to hear from you and others as them I will marked Solved and Credit to you

The one in the Link looks like it has a Signature of LEERDAM on it.

No Idea Rosie, but as you stated, it's a well made, quality piece with a great design! There is significant base wear, so I don't believe it's contemporary.
    11. Efesgirl Efesgirl, 9 years ago
I don't think we are going to find anything else that is closer than this. Considering that these are handmade, the bottoms will vary in size - at least, that's how imagine it to be.
