Just bought this today along with another larger unit which I haven't had a chance to look at yet (will get pics posted soon).

This was sold by Montgomery Ward & Co. in the mid 1930s. It stands 35 inches tall, is 19 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep. It appears to be all original parts. I'm not sure how long they sold this particular unit. I see some stamps on the inside for the 1950s I'm not sure if that's the manufacture date or maybe a last service date.

All the knobs appear to turn except the one on the right - an inside piece is chipped off so won't catch the metal rod to turn the knob. One wire is not connected properly so I didn't want to turn it on yet. The wood casing is in very good condition.

The left knob is on/off + volume; the middle knob is to tune the stations; the right knob is a shortwave switch.

The right knob is most likely used to switch between frequency bands. The top part of the dial is one band and the lower part is another.

That's correct Kydur. I found the schematics after I posted this. The 3rd knob is "shortwave" switch.
