This was such a difficult ring to photograph. At first I did think this ring was Bernard Instone, now I'm not sure, reason why I say this is because of the leaves. If you look at them from the front the leaves are long narrow and elegant, plain with no engraving, and branch outwards with three gold berries in between them. The leaves and berries all have stems which merge together to form the band. If you look inside the ring there are also leaves which are covering the back of the berries, I have never seen this before on a ring, so maybe it might be a clue to the maker. The Amethyst is a lovely colour and is bezel mounted and at the bottom is a gold twisted wire. There are no marks as usual. Beautifully made I wonder if anybody has any idea of the maker.

Just from looking at your other Instone rings, I have to agree that it doesn't quite fit. But that's just my uninformed opinion, others with more knowledge will be of more help. It's still a nice ring, and that amethyst is gorgeous. :)
Now that is a DINNER RING....
