I BOUGHT THIS LITTLE JEWEL TODAY FOR A WHOLE DOLLAR. AFTER A LITTLE TWISTING AND TONGUE BITING I GOT THE LIGHT TO WORK. THE LIGHT IS TURNED ON BY TURNING THE CAP ON ONE END. IT SHINES DIRECTLY THROUGH THE LEVEL'S BUBBLE. FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN ONE OF THESE. NO MAKERS MARKS OR DATES. DEFINITELY MANUFACTURED. APPROX 11 INCHES X 11/2 INCHES TALLX 1 INCH THCK. ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO AS TO MAKER AND PURPOSE OF BACKLIGHT? LIKED IT ON SIGHT

What size battery does it use? As far as where you would use it, haven't you ever been on a tightrope in the middle of the night?

It uses an "aa" battery . As far as the tightrope, not at night.. Thanks for the feedback.
