Some things are just so flirty and silly you have to love them.

A Japanese made glass basket, too small for anything much at all.....maybe some smarties or peanuts. Despite the big air bubble in the base I do like it's twisted handle and ruffled edge and the colours are great, even as they are very Japanese .

A really cute ashtray, although why you would want a lovely fish swimming around cigarette blah I don't know. I guess it brightens things up!
The Japanese are still a nation of smokers and ashtrays are a common production item. They come in all shapes, sizes, and styles.

I am unable to identify the maker although I have some wishy washy ideas.
Age? Not sure, but contemporary not vintage.

Oh, I love them so......no opportunity to decorate has been ignored :-)

I've seen many ash trays decorated with animals etc.but sitting on the edge ( pottery not glass). This is a bit strange but smokers must have some reasons - mysterious for non-smokers :-)
      Glass as always - awesome.

The Japanese can go minimal or OTT can't they Peggy!? Thanks.

I guess even smokers need something to lift the grunge Ivonne.....thanks for the love.

Glad you get the humour Scott !(hope you don't mind me calling you that even though it's probs wrong).
