This is what I believe a rare and beautiful piece of BMP (Blue Mountain Pottery). It's a goose standing in grass done in the Georgian Bay Glaze. It is 9 inches tall. I cannot find anything on the website not even in a different glaze.....if you can tell me anything about this piece example: the date if it's rare or the mold number?

I think this is a Blue Mountain "wanna be". Here are the pottery marks.

You don't want to know what I think.

Lead a horse to water but can't make them drink, eh, Bonnie?

Not even close to what I was thinking Katherine. Too bad there's no "Like" button next to your post.

If you're going to lv comments that don't help don't bother making them at all you clearly have no life so go conversate on social media ie. Facebook, instagram or texting thanks :) all I want to know is more about the piece not stupid comments back and forth making inside jokes I'm probably half your age and twice as mature as you :) toodles

If you solicit comments regarding this piece, then take them for what they are worth. Don't immediately challenge the person who is kind enough to offer their opinion. This is a friendly forum with many people here willing to help you in your desire to find the truth.

Hi and Welcome from another Canuck here.

I have not ever had this glaze color at all and I collected quite a few BMP pieces. See the whole post pics here:

      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/146613-blue-mountain-pottery--canada

I have not seen this color or this marking either -- so I guess you learn something new everyday. Guess it part of CW Show and Tell. I collected BMP for many a years, and I would have walked right past this not knowing it was BMP. I thought RED was the most desired in BMP?

These other pieces NOT having the BMP mark *may* hurt them in the Collectible field too as maybe they WANT the mark more than than the color. Also, on the bottom you can not see the Brown Clay for BMP -- Plus BMP does not usually have holes on the bottom that I know of. So some of these difference MAY make less collectors of it? I do not know. But personally speaking .... I would want the BMP mark and the clay to show ( if possible) on the bottom. So it might not be that Rare, just a different batch of Collectors on them.

      Again Welcome...

Thanx alot you guys will have new items on here soon and I agree they were rough and I didn't think it was necessary to make a joke of me if this is a friendly forum making inside jokes and laughing at someone's very first post is not only uncalled for but extremely immature
