This is the second trunk I picked up today, it's massive. I think my daughter already has plans for it.

That's a great trunk you found! Yes, a Romadka Brothers barrel top trunk from Milwaukee and I love their trunks as they had some of the best looking hardware. I've restored a couple Romadka trunks like this one and one thing I noticed when looking carefully at those slat clamps, at the top and bottom of them you will see that the design is two birds heads facing each other and the nails are the eyes. In the fine details of them you can even see feathers (on the pieces that are in very good condition and cleaned). I call them the love bird clamps. They were tinned when new to look silver in color. They made many styles of trunks and this was a high quality one. I recently finished a flat top Romadka, but it doesn't have this fancy hardware. Congrats on your nice find!
