Wonder which glass company produced this striking vase? A satin green glass vase and platform stand ... mold marked Barbara L Pigott. Found a few of these vases referenced online; none identify a glass manufacturer. Scant info on Barbara L. Pigott: She is listed as having received a diploma in 1930 UK Royal College of Art - School of Sculpture. She was awarded a prize for sculpture and was awarded the "Travelling Scholarship" in 1931. Don't know what exactly that means. And that's all I know. Did she do other work? Who produced her design for this vase & stand? Where? Anyone ever heard of her ... or familiar with this art glass? Thanks!
Colour and style/shape reminds me of Bagley/Sowerby Glass....both English Glass manufacturers. RER
stunning!!
I found a reference to Davidson Glass linked with her name on a Worthpoint listing for a similar piece. I didn't find anything else to confirm this association. Hope this helps get you started!
Is this the same one here ...Or yours? Just scroll down...

Rec'd 4 comments; thank you all. I'm looking into Davidson, Bagley, and Sowerby glass companies. Not previously familiar with those companies; good to have the leads. Would be great to figure out which company made the piece and what the circumstances were (maybe commissioned, for example?). Seems this was a specialty designed piece by the sculptor (Barbara L Pigott) ... but not a lot online about her except her early schooling in the UK. Again, thanks to all for replying! MUCH appreciated. Joey
