I was cleaning basement and came across a box that I knew as "MOM curtains" it has been there for yrs. I asked my mom why don't we get rid of them she said open and let me sort though them. Well it was my grandmothers pincushions. These have been boxed up for at least 25 yrs all in excellent condition. Grandma had each one double wrapped in paper towels. I know of two that my grandma used to tell us was her grandma's has to be from the early 1900, it is the round one with the Asian head. any body have advice on the year and what do I do with these. I asked my kids (thinking I would split them 4 ways) all responded with "whats a pincushion?" NEVER mind kids. There is 77 all together

What an absolutely fantastic and adorable collection.
I'm sorry the kids aren't keen but others will be. Individually probably not valued a lot but in total a nice sum.
I would start by checking here:
      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/sewing/pin-cushions

and have a good look at places like Etsy and Ruby Lane and even Pinterest to help with IDS and values.
