Moonstonel…
(765 items)
This is a wonderful family heirloom that I acquired a few years ago. This is from my Fathers only Sister Adele. She lived the high life in New York society. She was married to Saul Rutchik. Who was President of the Horse Trainers Association Of America (horse racing). Saul was one of the partners who owned the triple crown winner Count Fleet. I believe he owned Count Fleet. He had a stable that held quite a few winners. Well, as the story goes he also helped discovering Willie Shoemaker.
I wish I could have met Saul. Boy, I am sure the stories he would have been able to tell me!!
This necklace was part of my Aunts estate that I made a bid for. The history of this piece is unknown. The mounting is 14k white gold. I received the necklace missing one dangle Diamond Drop Pendant. So I took that drop and had a mold made. To make a duplicate diamond drop. Then turned them into pendant earrings. You can hardly tell that this was not originally a real set.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Thanks for looking

So nice necklace and story attached to it, Moon!
How clever to have the remaining drop molded to get matching earrings :-)
Lovely in all points!
