I got this today from an estate sale. It is by the well known California artist
Irion Shields ( 1895-1983)
I am trying to figure out if the nude lady is Audrey Hepburn.
It is painted on canvas board and measures 20" x 24"
Any thoughts on this ?
Thank You
Billy Davis
Looks too young to me to be Audrey Hepburn but I'm no expert. Great painting.
Thanks Caperkid
I don't think that's Audrey Hepburn - the face/body is totally wrong, and I don't believe she ever posed nude for anyone.
Hmm, okay Efesgirl.
Thanks for checking my stuff.
i can't decide whether i kind of like or hate this... it's weird! [not that i dislike weird either!]
ho2cultcha, like it and it's yours for a low $$$$
Welcome, Billy.
If this is genuine then you may want to consider auctioning it off.
