A white topped officer's hat, worn in summer. The embroidered bullion badge with oakleaf wreath and imperial crown surrounding the tricolour national Reichskokarde.
This hat has a surprisingly coarse white linen top, which makes me unsure about it's authenticity.
Do you have a photo of the interior that you can post?
@bluemax1914 I've uploaded a pic of the inside, which isn't very revealing, other than that it looks pretty clean for an old piece.
