GRAND CUTS is celebrating one year and is proud of our collection of American barber chairs. This is the right side of Grand Cuts when entering the front door. We have included some historical information from the same year each chair was manufactured.

Chairs used for clients (in order of photo)
    • 1898 Kochs (America declares War on Spain)
    • 1893 Koken Crescent (A.B. Moler opened the first Barber School in Chicago)
    • 1900 Koken Congress (New York City's Madison Square Garden holds the first Auto show in the United States)
Chairs on display only (in background):
    • 1950’s hair dryer with flip-down face guard made by Bonnett (December 1, 1955 - Rosa Parks, an African American seamstress, refuses to give up her seat on the bus to a white man, prompting a boycott that would lead to the declaration that bus segregation laws were unconstitutional by a federal court.)
    • 1883 Archer on November 23 (Railroads create the first continental time zones to end the confusion of dealing with thousands of local times)
    • 1910 Koken Tri-fold (The Boy Scouts of America youth organization is incorporated by William D. Boyce)
    • 1930’s electric wave machine (Franklin D. Roosevelt is elected President of the United States in November 1932. Roosevelt initiates the "New Deal".

    Chairs not in photo:
    • 1929 Paidar (Stock Market Crash starts the 10 year Great Depression)
    • Kids Carousal Horse
    • Kids Pedal Car
    • Kids Lion (display Only)
    • 1840 Barber Chair (U. S. population: 17,069,453 and 20 years preceding the election of President Abraham Lincoln)
    • 1910 Koken One-Lever Hydraulic (Mann Act adopted by Congress to stop the transportation of women across state lines for "immoral purposes")

All the bottles are barber related. Grand Cuts has several display cases of barbershop memorabilia. Our latest new bottle type item is a Wildroot quart tin. Feel free to email grandcuts@gmail.com with questions
