This is one of my two brass spittoons. I don't know enough about these things to determine if it's an authentic item or a modernish reproduction. Either way it's a very cool item, especially when you're in the mood for a sloppy chaw!
This version has the extra base which probably means it was a floor model; the ones without the base were generally used on the tobacco shop counter or saloon bar top... ewww.
It measure 14.5" high, and 10" in diameter. It weighs 1.6 Kg (3.5 lbs) and is in excellent condition without any dents, cracks, or other bar-room brawl indicators. It makes a great stand for petroleum-based foliage!
