I bought the brooch from England, I wonder if this crest or emblem is known by some of you.

I searched arm/fist holding oak branch with acorn. ... NOTHING !

It is a reverse painted crystal intaglio, also known as Essex crystal (but it is a wrong name).
    Mounted in gold brooch.

Little time consuming repair: a round glass at back, held in place in a second frame with brooch fitting by tiny gold pegs, was broken and dirt took place between it and back of crystal.
I struggled to remove the pegs, took off the frame for cleaning and put a piece of nacreous plastic as background.

The brooch is tiny : 7/8" diameter.

Thank you for any help in identifying the crest !

You did a spectacular job repairing this! It looks perfect... the acorn looks like a rose to me but the leaves don't match with a rose. That's just what it looks like from here.

      Really pretty and unique.

Hi Sue! I immediately thought of the French Socialist emblem :-)
Thank you for your link to the powerful sculpture, and for your kind compliment!

Hi Kyra, there is a format for describing heraldry and crests, I don't know exactly how it works but yours might something like: A dexter hand and arm in armour, the hand holding a branch of oak. (dexter = right)

Here's something like it (but not exactly correct):
      http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mckinlay/clanSymbolism.html

So this is probably a family crest, good luck with your search.

Georgeous Pascale, as kiwipaul already mentioned probably a heraldic item. Perhaps you can find some help on this site:

kyratango, if you look on the right side of the page under Suffolk, there are three or more mentions that may or may not have something to do with your question:

      https://books.google.com/books?id=x24zxU6gq-gC&pg=PA20&lpg=PA20&dq=hand+holding+acorn+branch&source=bl&ots=GmdD29Ewrr&sig=UXTd6J1gBv5r6MI6b0Y89qMOHTE&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi78-r27p3JAhUVK4gKHU5hAisQ6AEIOzAJ#v=onepage&q=hand%20holding%20acorn%20branch&f=false

That link is from this book:
A Dictionary of Suffolk Crests: Heraldic Crests of Suffolk Families

I would say Katherine has nailed it. Based on the information on that page this piece may have been made for Joseph R. I. NASH of Somerleyton who died in 1922.

There is a little bit of biographical information about him on this Bonhams item: http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20013/lot/10/
