Is it a amulet or pendant?

I do not know the correct name for it , but is it for making arrows ? To straighten the shaft ?

We have a WINNER! Nancy S. you know your're stuff! Well Done! An arrow shaft straightener. you can straighten even the most crooked branch ( green or soaked in water) you heat it up over a bed of coals (the spot that needs straightening) until the moisture begins to bubble out , slide the branch through the stone and turn the stone horizontal until desired affect is acquired.

I was not so sure about this one . I have never seen one of these before , but I have heard about them from a friend who is really into these type of artifacts . By looking at it that is what made the most sense to me .
