Picked them up at an estate sale. 3 ft tall with a lot of patina over the copper. Each banner has a "K".

Nice pair of medieval style statue lamps. They are usually patinated spelter, and now they have developed a great patina with age. I have seen many of these medieval theme lamps over the years and most have no sculptors name on them. There was a time also when JB Hirsh foundry in NYC dug up many of the old hidden molds in France and made them into lamps in the mid 1960's. These may be from that vintage, as they look like other examples I have seen. They were usually done in pairs. Some painted, some not, some white mainly.

Would these figurine lamps be copper underneath the patina? Would that be copper showing through in photo 2?
