With the ~ ~ 2015 ~ ~ Xmas season around -- you can find lots of string of lights. They are also useful to use a string of lights in place where the light does not show off your glass as well. Glad a set of Clear Xmas lights and string them behind your glass. Shows off your pieces more and plus gives a nice light mood in the evening. Just a DIY. Good time of year to glad some lighting for this......or to make it a Festival theme.
Thanks for LOOKING / LOVING

** Foil is around the Base of the Tree so that KITTY will not eat the tinsel, PLUS I spray CAT REPELLANT on the Foil and bottom of the tree. He is used to this procedure and does not bother it -- as he is 7 years old.
Nice!! Very creative of you!
Great idea Rose!
Release the light, lovely.
It's gorgeous
Great idea and superb result!
Bravo Rose!
Haha!! Love the foil idea! Last time I put the tree up I put garlic bulbs in it....stunk the house up and didn't work. Many pics of tape on my furniture because of bad kitty. He's 14!! I am DEFINATELY doing this!! Thanks Rose! :)
The lights are spot on too! I'm doing that for sure.
You just made me soooo happy!!
Love your idea with the lights..and your Christmas tree looks gorgeous..and of course so does Kitty!..:-)
Ps... you will be pleased to know I plucked up the courage and have posted my first inquiry, apart from the one you did for me of course...:-)
Thanks all -- Just thought I would pass this idea along....LOL
@ OGF -- I also spray CAT REPELLENT on the Foil, and around on the tree area. The Foil helps to protect the rug from this spray, plus I spray quite a bit on it, and it gets the foil damp -- so Kitty CAN SMELL it. I have been doing this for about 8 years with him -- so I think he may use to it. Doing this with New Kitties I would still be careful and watch them around it. A blast of water from a Spray bottle also help to put the rules down. The tinsel still shimmers and moves -- and can still attract a Cat so you still have to watch. Again, I have been doing this for many years -- and when I first put the tree up -- yeah -- it is checking the tinsel out but as soon as I do the foil / repellent lots /water bottle if he does not listen -- so I think he kind of know the routine. *Plus I might add I do the repellent spray on the foil every couple days -- just to make sure the smell stays strong, and Kitty stays away. Can't say it works for every cat -- but this has been a routine in our home for many years. So kitty kinda knows.
~ ~ Always CAUTION with cats /animals and TINSEL !!
There might be other scents out there they do not like too..as you used in the past

THANKS all for the LOVES and SUPER comments -- LET OUT GLASS SPARKLE IN LIGHT at Christmas time !!!
I've been lucky so far, cats have left the tree alone. :P Beautiful display, and beautiful tree, Rose! :)
Oh Rose, thank you for all the ideas. I'm going to have to downsize. :(
Tree is too big for here:( It will be ok. I know many agencies in need I can give to. I'll pick up a smaller one. It will take a lot less foil and may make for a better Christmas for a deserving family. And I will share your information if they have a cat they love like we all do.
What a beautiful idea and shows off the glass with spectacular effects! Thank you Rose for sharing that, it looks amazing. They also sell lights, can't think of what exactly they are called, but they are much shorter and they light by battery. Those would be good for smaller areas. Happy Holidays to you!
My my you are creative and resourceful antiquerose. And you must have a great kitty there with all your glass about the house. What a good boy/girl :)
