wooden goblets, 5 7/8 inches tall,top is 3 inches wide,bottom is 2 5/8 inches wide,one has english words the other is foreign words,the one in english say's,roll out the barrel and let's eat drink and be merry, and around the base it say's, wine,women ,song.
Love the 'poutine'?? Isn't that what Mike and Frank call it? ( I can't find the word anywhere in the English vocabulary dictionary} The wear shows many a stories.

Literal translation: "At the right time a good...." ....
I can't see the last word on the cup.
Word on the foot of the cup: Gesane > no English equivalent was found. "Gesang" means song.
From the saying: "Zur rechten Zeit ein guter Trunk, macht froh das Herz bei alt und jung." At the right time, a good drink makes the heart happy of young and old.
This was my first time posting on any web page and want to thankyou all for educating me on these two wooden goblets,Can you educate me even more with where they originated from and why one in english and one in german ??Also any idea on how old they could be..?Again I thank you and I like this ..
