Brilliant idea? This short model of a Wayne 70 was made to be an "island pump" that could be accessed by either side of the island easily and theoretically save the Service Station from buying two pumps. Like many of my ideas, it didn't work too well in real life. We recently got this pump on an Idaho hunt and it fits perfectly in the mix of pumps at the Lakeside Storage Pertoliana Museum. In the old days everybody was always looking for a better "mouse trap" and this is just one more example. These are very heavy pumps! Cute but heavy. Did I mention that we bought this pump from a pregnant attorney carrying twins & practicing law in Vt? Just some random info.

Your Wayne pump is a 100A made from 1947-1950. The reason I know is I bought one and the theme is Gulf. Not trying to get in your business just a little information thought you may in like it.

      Officialfuel,
You got it right once again. I remember when they came out and how cool I thought they were. Of course we didn't operate them in those days as it was full service at every station around. This is pretty nice original pump in pretty good condition compared to a lot of the ones I have seen and $250 was a great price for it. Thx for the comment and love it.
