Small Loetz Phänomen Genre 6893 Vase. 3" tall. 3" across widest width. Colbalt ground with a wave pattern. PG 6893 is one of the most common Loetz PG decors, but it's still very attractive. This one has an old paper label on the base marked "Burley & Co. Chicago". Burley and Company was founded in 1884 from the former Burley and Tyrell, who had advertised themselves as the largest importers of china and glassware. I found no information about when they went out of business, but the latest reference I found to them in a quick search was 1915-1917.
What a cutie patootie!!!
Thanks, Gary. It's is a little gem. Makes me want to start looking for the even smaller miniature ones.
