After my info on this sight, I see the Hobby lobby flaws so I bought it for $3.50 just in case there is anyone on here that is new. It really makes me second guess what I pick up in the thrift stores (blue one in my posts) and buy online. You are the best supporters for collectors in so many areas. I don't mind putting things in my out box at all. I give back ALOT. If I love something I'll keep it no matter what it's worth.
I do love finding things of value but it's the dig and curiosity for it that brings me the most joy. It's a great buzz! :)
Think they are all great!!
Well I hate it when I know about the lesser glass. Your Red Dolphin is Chinese. I know because I have a nearly identical one. But heck, they look good. If yours is like mine then it is about 5" long and loaded with aventurine. Now that you've posted yours, I will try and post mine. When you see it, you'll probably get a good laugh.
Can't wait to see it.
Deano. "Show me your's & I'll show you mine"? LMAO!!
I think that depends on what we're talking about!
Deano, I know when it's too late for me to be O/L! A demain!
I'll leave you two alone now. :)
LMAO!! Good "capper" 1-G-F!
Ahh you guys!
OGF we all have things considered "lesser" but why worry if they are great and you like them!
Great point racer. Of course, we know we have a better eye for beauty (at our level). LOL!
Thanks for the loves everybody. Truthfully, I still don't understand yet why if someone still makes it by hand it's a bad thing. I see the vases where the colors scratch off at retail stores. That is clear, but seriously how do I know the colors will not come off one of these dolphins? LOL I'm serious for once.
These are both sweet, OGF. I think Karen and I agree that Chinese glass has a bad reputation, and not entirely deserved. They make some very nice glass, along with the bad. Enjoy your fishies! :)
