I purchased this beautiful vase at a local thrift store but don't know anything about it. It is marked on the bottom, but I can't read it. Any help on identifying it would be appreciated. Thanks

JASBA CERAMIC BUT I AM NOT SURE
Thanks aura but Jasba looks to be marked with raised letters. The mark on my vase is indented or signed and under the glaze. It also looks like it starts with a large E but in cursive. Thanks for your quick reply.
i see it
i am very curiues what marked it has
Looks french 1940's or 1950's. Cant see enough of name in photo to hazard a guess!
Hi there -- Give a try to your vase, as I showed here on CW -- It might help!!

Looks like a *C* in the beginning...but not sure...reminds me of some vintage Canadian Pottery glazes /styles
Thanks antiquerose, I will try that.
Keep us posted -- Bright, bright light and close....and while doing that -- try taking a pic with flash and without the flash. As sometimes the extra lighting and the camera flash HELPS to show the name.
That is why I posted that -- to show it works.....and WELCOME
Well, antiquerose I tried your idea, and I still can't make it out completely, but now I think maybe I am trying to read it upside down and I'm even more confused. That's not your fault though, just my realization. lol
I color-corrected and changed the contrast. It looks like Circa in script to me (the dot on the I would be over the R if that's true). Not familiar with them if that's the name and it would be difficult to search since the word circa might be in any listing for pottery, referencing the date. : (
