Going through moms Christmas items and came a cross a pair of lamps. I think they are from the 50s or 60s. They are 44"tall shade is 19 x15 base is 22" tall. The base is frosted glass with hand painted deer and branches on upper part of lamp that have gold leaf stems. The shade is made of gold grass cloth.
I would like to know who painted the lamps or manufacturer of lamps. I don't see a signature or name of company.
They are very tall, stately and very beautiful.
Still looking for more information about lamps.
Thanks for your help.
Very nice shape and design. Tall lamps more probably from the mid 1960's. Have seen a lot of mid century lamps but very few of this design which had deer in them although they were used extensively for design in the 50's and 60's.
Just wonder if the base lights up also? During the 60's they started using metal grid diffusers in the base for bulbs which gave a nice soft light.
Gorgeous and love the retro shape !
Wonderful lamps!
