This is the last one from the doll lot i recently bought from estate sale (without any clue about dolls). I think this is Madame Alexander Elise doll. I'd like to know if the clothes she came with belong to her or whether they are MA clothes at all. They are not tagged. (Manikin, here she is =). Thanks!

It did have a hat with it also a straw hat with netting .

Lol! i was wondering why they put a seam on the "front" of the dress...
OMG, $350 just for the outfit...i'm abandoning my hope to ever buy a complete original outfit for the Winnie Walker =(
Do you still have the hat?
I also uploaded the pic of the damage to Elise's eyes...do you know what could have happened here or if there's any way to repair it?
      Many thanks!

i forgot to mention, this is the way she was dressed when i got her, so i just assumed it's the correct way =P

Is that a crack on eyes hard for me to tell by photo ?
    6. AnnaB AnnaB, 9 years ago
it's not a crack, but deformed surface of the plastic, as if it was melted. The line runs across the iris of both eyes right where the eyelashes would end (if they were pressed to the eye...)

Manikin, i've uploaded another picture, more close up. Hope this is better.

also, never mind my question about the Elise's hat or the age of your doll (which was a part of its title!)...i think i'm not seeing things right lately =)

It looks like some kind of clear glue ? take a damp q-tip and gently rub eye and tell me if top half is sticky ok and is it higher than bottom of eye .

Her one eyelash is about to fall off too . I wish I had her in my hands to check it . Doll was stored wrong :-(

wow...i'm truly impressed! i didn't even mention that the eyelashes on one eye are loose...as i was cleaning her, i noticed they were coming out at the lightest touch...i'd insert them back but they are still loose and i don't know what to do about this =(
I am not near the doll right now but i do remember that the upper part is lower than the bottom part. I pressed the eyelashes on the "healthy" eye to the iris, and this is exactly where the line runs, at the edge of the lashes. But i can't understand how this could possibly happen. Anything to do with the heat on the attic?
They all were definitely neglected, but the lady they belonged to is in her 90s and in a nursing home, so i don't know for how long they were abandoned. When i got them, they were molded, stinky, and dirty. Winnie Walker had a tiny bug crawling inside her wig (the wigs on both MAs are all detached). While i did what i could to clean them up to the best of my little knowledge, i do wish someone like you could give them proper care they so deserve!

email me at Manikin1234@hotmail.com I will tell you how to fix eyelash before you loose it. The upper eye had to have melted and the glue holding them in place must have melted it . Put doll in freezer when you get them with dirty hair or if wig comes off and also clothes for a day or 2 in a baggie
