It's made out of metal, has 2 sets of teeth (?) maybe about a foot long in total. Tooth area maybe 5 inches with a 1inch gap between the set. Found in a family members garage and no one has ANY idea what it is. Any info would be much appreciated!!!
BBQ coals tool?
I think I remember chasing my sister around with these back in the 60's.
Looks like a meat tenderizer.
If you squeeze the handles the jaws should open and close. It is for picking up spaghetti noodles out of a pot or colander.
It looks like the two pieces are riveted together and do not move, is this correct?
that's one heck of a back scratcher
The pieces do not move at all :( and not in a rusted sized kind of way either. They just weren't made to move.
Google search antique meat tenderizer to see quite similar tools. I am sure this is what you have.
Looks like it!!! Thank you so much!!
Does it have a thin space between the two jaws? I'm a hairdresser and it reminds me of my old thinning sheers. I was thinking perhaps if a blade could set between the two jaws it would have been used to cut hair.
