The closest I have seen to this is a post from a couple of years ago by MacArt. The technique is almost like someone filled in the gaps in a crackle vase then re-blew it.
I am hoping the yellow is distinctive enough for some ID help?
13cm tall x1 5.5cm in diameter.
I am just curious if it fluoresces with UV? Cool décor!
Not really. I wouldn't say so - just the faintest glow.
Very interesting piece either way!!
Ian, did you ever see this post? What is interesting is that these also appear to have been re-fired...http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/56653-mystery-glass
Yes - very similar.
ian, if you send me an email ill send you a kralik piece that this might be linked to. basically the pattern is similar to the "cracked earth" or "giraffe" patterns but the decor was never cased and allowed to oxidize by heat. it also gives it a great texture
